HFC (Hydrofluorocarbon) Refrigerants
16 refrigerants in this category. Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) contain no chlorine, so their ozone depletion potential is zero, but most have high global warming potential. Under the AIM Act the US is cutting HFC production 85% by 2036, and GWP limits now apply to new AC (700) and many refrigeration systems. This category includes current service refrigerants like R-410A, R-404A and R-134a, pure components such as R-32, R-125 and R-143a, and retrofit blends like R-407C and R-422D. Blends with glide (R-407A/C/F, R-422D) show both liquid and vapor pressures.
